Corn Blasting

Log home blasting with corn blasting grit is an ideal technique to maintain and preserve the exterior wood of your log home. By corn blasting (cleaning) the surface of the logs, you will not only remove dirt and debris as well as stain and coatings, you will restore the original appearance to your log home.

The proper care and maintenance is crucial to the longevity of your house, be it a log home or not. If you allow dust, dirt and debris to collect on the logs, this could create a moist area that causes decay and rot, leading to degregation of your log home. By log home blasting the exterior of your log home, you'll maintain your logs for many years to come.

Corn blasting grit is the most effective blast media for cleaning log homes without damaging the wood surface. It is virtually dust free and biodegradable.

Staining and Chinking

Staining - This two coat application helps to ensure consistent color development on your walls and highlights the grain and texture of your wood. From the day that you apply it to the many years of durability that you get from it, this stain will distinguish your home.

A protective clear coat adds depth and clarity to the wood grain and offers you a choice of just how much gloss you would like on the finish. The smooth surface of the clear coat repels dirt and dust, and makes walls easier to clean when cleaning becomes necessary.

Chinking / Sealing - This step seals the open gaps between logs to eliminate heat loss and air infiltration. It stretches, compresses, and tightly adheres to the wood surfaces to make your walls weather tight and attractive.
